Due to our experience in brand building for communities, the Littleton Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) approached Kico Marketing to provide an elevated marketing presence for their newly formed organization. Working with Starkey Strategies, the board of directors had a foundational understanding of their downtown, stakeholders and community staples that the organization would eventually grow into essential partnerships. As we uncovered more information about the LDDA, we developed a clear path forward for the visual identity of downtown Littleton and how we’d extend that brand through a comprehensive community website development.

The launch of the Littleton Downtown Development Authority’s new brand was a coordinated effort to celebrate place and create meaningful connections across digital and physical spaces. To ensure a seamless rollout, we paired the brand launch with the unveiling of a modern, user-friendly website that reflects the vibrancy of downtown Littleton. New social media channels were established, complete with branded templates, imagery, and messaging to engage the community and amplify the DDA’s voice online.

In the physical realm, the brand came to life with business cards that establish a professional presence and streetscape banners that adorn downtown with a visual identity tied to Littleton’s unique character. This integration of digital and tangible assets reinforced the impact of place branding, inspiring pride and belonging among residents and visitors alike. The Littleton Downtown Development Authority’s website was designed to serve as a dynamic, accessible hub for the community. A key feature of the site is the robust business directory, which highlights local merchants and services, encouraging residents and visitors to explore downtown. The inclusion of a community events calendar ensures that locals stay connected to happenings in the area, from seasonal festivals to local markets and public meetings.

In response to Colorado’s recent legislation on website accessibility, we prioritized compliance and inclusivity. Features such as keyboard navigation, alt text for images, and high-contrast design elements ensure the site is usable by all community members, including those with disabilities. Beyond functionality, the site reflects the DDA’s new brand identity, offering a visually engaging, user-friendly experience that strengthens ties between downtown Littleton and its stakeholders. The result is a digital platform that celebrates the community while meeting modern standards.
